Meet Michelle

I am an experienced Queer identifying and Neurodivergent affirming therapist, art therapist, and clinical supervisor. I work from a relational lens and believe that authentic connection to self, others, and community is one of the key ingredients to healing. I work with individuals and most commonly work with adolescents and young adults. Where appropriate I offer joint sessions and work together with parents and important people in my client's life.

My clinical interests include, but are not limited to:

  • anxiety and mood disorders

  • attachment

  • body image

  • distress tolerance

  • gender affirming/WPATH assessments

  • gender identity

  • gender questioning

  • grief and loss

  • LGBTQIA+

  • OCD

  • psychotic disorders and early psychosis

  • PTSD

  • relationship difficulties

  • sexual trauma

  • shame

  • trauma/complex trauma

During our sessions, I may work from the following modalities:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Art Psychotherapy

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT, CBT-E)

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy for Individuals (EFIT)

  • Mindfulness-Based Therapies

  • Psychodynamic Therapy

I have extensive experience working across Multi-Disciplinary Teams in the mental health field including in early psychosis and youth mental health and have worked in private practice since 2017. I have worked in diverse communities including the East Kimberly and Wiluna, with people seeking asylum in Australia, and with stateless communities in Thailand.

Out of work time I enjoy spending time with my partner and three young kids and our zoo of pets. I enjoy travelling to new and hidden places, hiking amongst tall trees, creating art, and scuba diving looking for all the tiniest of sea slugs.
